Our Mission At the OKatering Company our goal is to provide our Customers with the information they need to enjoy a person dining experience every time they enter the Kitchen or host a party. For those who desire an affordable catering experience, our services are available. JazzeOne Production is a Jazz Consulting Organization (JCO) created to help all Jazz lovers hold on to this traditional music. As musical consultants we help bring Artist, History, Festivals and Activities to your City, State or Country. We pay tribute to those who paved the way for the music you hear and enjoy today. Sherman L Dantzler started in the food service industry in 1970 cooking and managing his way through the business. After a few years of owning a restaurant he decided to go into consulting and catering. In 1985 he formed 'Gastronomic by Dantz' a consulting firm to bring businesses to the Flint Michigan area. Finally in 2001 he formed the 'Okatering Company' in Flint. Next in 2004 he moved the company to Grand Blanc, MI and created a multi-year plan to become US regional during 2008 and global in 2011 with availability in Europe. In 2002 his daughter Ashley Brooke was named Vice-President and the future of the Okatering Company. In 1967 Sherman began spinning records for local dance venues in the Flint area as a member of the Esquires club and eventually founded the Soul Enchanters. In 1972 he graduated from Electronic Institute of Technology in Detroit Michigan as a Radio Broadcast Engineer. Calling himself (Dantz) in the early years, he started mixing Jazz with Rock, Pop and R&B into a fusion of music which sounds a lot like Smooth Jazz today (umm, I wonder where this ideal came from?). Today he is considered by some as a one of the few knowledgeable (non-musician) true Jazz historians after following the music for over five decades. In 2001 he formed JazzeOne Productions and is in the process of creating the Dantzler Jazz Hall of Fame and writing a book about the history of the Jazz Genres. In 2002 his daughter Megan Brittany was named Vice-President and the future of JazzeOne Production Our Philosophy Through our mission and history we have brought together good food and cool jazz for your entertainment pleasure.
